You can see this book on my Top 10 page, as it is part of the Secret Series. I didn't really go into detail at all in its summary, so I wanted to tell you why I love it so much. This may get long, so get comfortable.
The Name of This Book is
Secret has two main characters, Cass (her real name is Cassandra) and Max-Ernest. The two middle-schoolers are friends for no real reason, but they enjoy each others company. The book is narrarated in a half 2nd-person and half 3rd-person format, and I only say that because in some parts of the book the author says "we can see them through the glass" or other similar things, but the rest is in third person. Anyway, when Cass and Max-Ernest meet a strange group of circus folk, one of them being a magician, a huge conspiracy is revealed to the kids and the safety of almost everyone depends on them.
This book is quirky, funny, and suspenceful, and the author has a weird obsession with dark chocolate and fine cheeses (this is the quirky factor), so he uses that as a way to lighten up dark scenes. His humor is intence, but at the same time PG, making it different from other suspence/ adventure novels. That isn't saying that it doesn't have you on the edge of your seat, though. At some points in the book I was dying from anticipation, it was that suspenseful. The worst part about is was, wait for it, it had a CLIFFHANGER ending! If you like to read, then you know that thse are the worst. Personally, I couldn't stand it, and because I have no self control, I bought the next book in the series.
To conclude, I would reccomend this book to anyone, absolutly anyone at all. It is just that good. It's good for kids, good for teens, and even good for adults. Also, you won't understand why I chose that picture until you read the book.
