Will Gayson, Will Grayson is one of my favorite books, and I felt the need to write a review on it. The story is centered around two different teens in two different towns, who have two things in common; their names, and a certain fellow named Tiny Cooper. John Green portrayes the first Will Grayson, who is less depressed and more social, but that doesn't mean that he is popular or genuinely happy. David Levethan writes for the second Will Grayson, who is clinically depressed and his entire social life is on the computer with his "star-crossed lover". But when the two meet up, their lives go in unexpe
cted turns.
This book is very descriptive, and both authors prove themselves worthy of my high standards. The plot is clear and remains complex, but easy to understand, throughout the book. I loved how the characters actually seem like unpopular teenage boys, and how their thoughts imitate what I would belive goes on inside of their heads.
In the middle of the book, the characters experiance very strong emotions, and I almost felt them, too. The authors almost make you belive that you are in the story, so much that I read through my entire fourth period class, but didn't realize it until my friend told me. That also may have to do with the fact that I have a short attention span, but.... anyway! Some things that the semi-antagonist does are unbeliveably cruel, and it actually made me cry, listening to the type of heartbreak that the teens experiance.
The only warnings that I would give are there is a lot of strong language, and some profanity.
